Home » Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate
The erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) is a screening test to assess plasmatic elevations of acute phase proteins that occur in various acute and chronic diseases. It is used for the diagnosis and follow-up of several chronic inflammatory diseases like Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Polymyalgia Rheumatica etc. and also some type of cancer like Myeloma and prostatic cancer. Sclavo has developed a ubique analyzer, powered by a neural network to provide very accurate ESR results, on the same sample used for Complete Blood Count (CBC)
